How many characters does an EAN code have?

An EAN code always has 13 characters and may only consist of numbers. An example of a good EAN code is:

  • 1234567890123

An example of incorrect EAN codes is:

  • 123456
  • EAN123456

Are you getting the error Unknown EAN code back from our bol.com WooCommerce plugin? Then you have used a wrong format of the EAN code.
